Run your Chief of Staff on your ChatGPT plan
Already paying for ChatGPT? Have your Chief of Staff think on that plan, so OpenAI bills you for it instead of it drawing on your Noli tokens.
Your Chief of Staff normally does its thinking on Noli's own AI allowance, the monthly pool of tokens included in your plan. If you already pay for ChatGPT, you can point it at that plan instead. The work then counts against your ChatGPT limits, and OpenAI bills you for it, not Noli.
Connect your plan
- Open Chief of Staff from your dashboard and go to the Connections tab.
- Find Your own ChatGPT plan and click Connect ChatGPT.
- Sign in to your OpenAI account when prompted. You only do this once.
- When it says "ChatGPT account connected," click to start using it. Your Chief of Staff switches over within about half a minute.
Choose a model
Once connected, the models section lists only the models your plan actually offers, because Noli checks your subscription rather than guessing. Pick the one you want your Chief of Staff to use. You can also see what is left on your plan, straight from OpenAI, on the same card.
Worth knowing before you switch
- It shares your limits. The work your Chief of Staff does counts against your ChatGPT plan's limits, and those limits are shared with your own ChatGPT and Codex use. A heavy day on either side can slow the other down.
- You need a paid plan. A free ChatGPT account will not work.
- OpenAI's terms apply to this usage, since the requests go to OpenAI under your account.
- You can switch back any time. Choose Noli tokens again from the same card and your Chief of Staff is back on your Noli allowance immediately.
If your plan runs out of quota part way through the month, your Chief of Staff tells you rather than silently stopping, and switching back to Noli tokens gets it moving again.
