FAQ

Everything you
wanted to ask.

The short version of how Noli works: what it is, what it costs, what each specialist does, and how your team and data fit in. Need a step-by-step walkthrough instead? See the how-to guides.

Getting started

What is Noli AI?

Noli is an AI team for your business. It starts with a Chief of Staff that runs the team for you. Beneath it are specialists that share one login and one memory and actually do the work: business development (your CRM), marketing, a knowledge base, project management, a GTM Engineer that finds you new customers, and a finance view of your numbers.

You hand the Chief of Staff a goal, and it puts the right specialists on it, coordinates the work, and spins up new specialists whenever a job calls for one. The whole team runs on real tools and real context about your business, not just a chat window.

Who is Noli for?

Solo founders, small teams, and operators who want the output of a full team without hiring or managing one.

Do I need technical skills to use it?

No. You sign up, tell your Chief of Staff about your business, and the team gets to work. There is nothing to install and no code to write, and your team comes connected from day one.

As with a human team, you may want to give your AI team access to specific third-party tools. That usually just means logging into the tool, and if you run into any issues, your Chief of Staff can walk you through connecting it step by step.

How is this different from ChatGPT or a regular AI assistant?

A chatbot waits for you to ask, and forgets you between conversations. Noli is a team that remembers your business and works in your actual tools (your CRM, your content, your projects), led by a Chief of Staff that picks up work without being asked and hands it back when it is ready for you.

How long does setup take?

A few minutes. Paste your website and Noli reads it and fills in most of the answers itself. You confirm the brief, and that brief goes to every part of your team at once, so nobody asks you the same question twice. Your first piece of work is waiting when you land on the dashboard.

Each department then asks only for what it genuinely still needs when you first open it. Your Chief of Staff gets more useful as it learns more about you.

Your Chief of Staff and your tools

Does it work with the tools I already use?

Yes. Your Chief of Staff works inside your calendar, your CRM and the tools your business already runs on, and it connects to a growing library of others. What it does shows up in those tools, and changes you make there flow back, so your business stays in one piece instead of scattered across tabs.

Connecting a tool takes a login, not a developer. You can disconnect any tool at any time, and when you do, we drop the access we were given.

Can I use Noli from Claude or ChatGPT instead?

Yes. If your working day already happens inside Claude or ChatGPT, you do not have to move it. Connect your Noli account once and you can ask those assistants about your customers, your pipeline, your projects and your notes, and have them get work done in your business, without leaving the conversation you are already in.

It is one connection for everything your plan includes, not one per product. In Noli, open the account menu and choose Claude and ChatGPT for the address and step-by-step instructions. Command-line tools like Claude Code and Codex work too, using a key from the same page.

What can an outside assistant actually do in my account?

Whatever your plan includes, and nothing else. Tools for products you do not have never appear, and when a plan ends the tools go with it at the end of the period you paid for.

The same approval rule applies as everywhere else in Noli. Anything that goes out to the world or cannot be undone, like publishing a post or deleting a project, is filed in your approvals inbox and runs only after you approve it. Everyday work like reading your pipeline or drafting a reply runs straight away.

Can I limit what an outside assistant sees?

Yes. You can connect an assistant to just one part of your business, for example your CRM only, by adding the products you want to the end of the connection address. Anything left out does not appear to that assistant at all. It is a real boundary rather than an instruction it could talk itself past.

Will it send things to my clients without asking me?

Not unless you decide it should. Out of the box the answer is no: anything customer-facing, like a text, an email, or a social post, goes to your approvals inbox first. You review it, tweak the wording if you want, and only then does it send.

The Authority tab is where higher levels will unlock, one area of work at a time, as each area passes our quality and safety qualification. None has yet, so today every customer-facing message comes to you for approval. When a level does unlock you will set which actions it may take, a daily limit, and a date the permission expires, and you can pause it instantly. A few things always come back to you no matter what you have granted: irreversible deletions, security or access changes, legal or financial commitments, and any purchase above the spending limit you set.

So that is the honest answer: you are in control of every word that reaches a client. Over time it learns your preferences, so the drafts need fewer edits.

Does it sound like me, or like generic AI?

Like you. Your Chief of Staff learns how you write and talk, both from what you teach it and from the messages you approve and edit, and it uses that voice when it drafts anything. Your clients can tell the difference between content that sounds like a real person and generic AI.

Can it handle my books and taxes?

Yes. Your Chief of Staff can act as your bookkeeper and your CFO. It keeps your income and expenses categorized and tax-ready, tells you how much of each payment to set aside for taxes and what is truly yours, warns you before cash gets tight, shows which jobs or listings actually made money after their costs, and answers questions like "can I afford to hire?" in plain English with the numbers shown.

Every figure can be traced back to your real transactions, and it is conservative on purpose. This is a clear picture of your finances, not tax advice. For filing and big decisions, confirm with your accountant.

Can it help me make content and videos that perform?

Yes. Tell your marketing what platform you are posting to and what it is about, and it researches what is landing there right now before it writes a word. You get the post, or for video a script with the hooks and the shots called out, plus title options to pick from. You film it, or you hand the script to whoever does. The thinking is done.

If you want Noli to generate the video itself, that runs on your own HeyGen account, which you connect in settings.

Is my connected-tool and financial data safe?

Your Chief of Staff uses a connected tool only for the work you asked for, and it never moves money on your behalf without your approval. Connections it holds itself are stored encrypted, and you can cut off any tool from your Connections tab in one click.

Plans & billing

How much does Noli cost?

There are two plans, and every plan includes the full team. Solo is $199 a month for one person. Team is $299 a month for two people, with extra seats at $79 a month each.

Pay monthly or annually. Annual gives you two months free: Solo is $1,990 a year and Team is $2,990 a year. You are paying for seats and AI usage, not for features. Every plan unlocks everything.

Every seat brings 10 million AI tokens a month into a pool your whole team shares.

Real estate agents have their own plans. Noli RE is $399 a month and Noli RE Team is $499 a month for two people. Both include the full team plus the real estate tools and one claimed neighborhood that is exclusively yours, with a larger pool: 20 million tokens on Noli RE and 30 million on Noli RE Team.

What is the difference between Solo and Team?

The capabilities are identical. Both plans give you the whole team: business development (CRM), marketing, knowledge base, project management, the GTM Engineer, a finance view of your numbers, and your Chief of Staff to coordinate them.

The difference is people and capacity. Solo is built for one person. Team is built for two or more, so it adds shared workspaces, an admin role, a larger pooled AI allowance, and room to add seats as you grow. If it is just you, choose Solo. If you want teammates working in the same workspace, choose Team.

Is it one bundle, or do I pay per product?

One bundle. Every plan includes the whole team: business development (CRM), marketing, knowledge base, project management, the GTM Engineer, and your Chief of Staff who coordinates them all. There are no per-product add-ons to buy. The only optional extras are the AI Receptionist, extra seats, token boosts, and for real estate agents, extra exclusive neighborhoods.

Do you bill monthly or annually?

Both. Pay monthly, or pay annually and get two months free (you pay for ten). Solo is $199 a month or $1,990 a year. Team is $299 a month or $2,990 a year.

How does AI usage work?

Every plan includes a generous monthly pool of AI tokens, shared across your whole team and every product. Each user comes with 10 million tokens a month: Solo includes 10 million, Team includes 20 million for two, and each extra seat adds another 10 million to the shared pool.

For almost everyone, normal daily use stays well inside the pool, so you never have to think about it. We show your usage in tokens, and you get a heads-up at 80% and again at 100%.

What does the AI Receptionist cost?

It is an optional add-on at $89 a month for one dedicated line per workspace, which includes 200 voice minutes and 200 two-way text exchanges. Beyond that, voice is $0.25 a minute and texts are $10 per 100 exchanges. Setting up texting carries a one-time $25 activation charge from the carriers.

We do not describe it as unlimited, because it is not. You can see exactly what a line has used at any time.

What happens if I run out of AI tokens?

We never charge you a surprise overage. If you reach your monthly pool you have three options: add a token boost (10 million more tokens for $59 a month, stack as many as you need), upgrade your plan, or connect your own AI provider key so any usage beyond your pool runs on your key at cost.

If you do none of those, AI features simply pause until your pool resets at the start of the next month. Your data and everything else stay available. One exception worth knowing: your Chief of Staff runs on your own key from the moment you add one, not only past the pool, so it is never paused mid-job.

Can I add more seats or AI tokens?

Yes. From the Plan and add-ons page in your dashboard you can add extra seats to a Team plan ($79 a month per person, with 10 million extra pooled tokens per seat), token boosts (10 million tokens for $59 a month, add as many as you need), and on the real estate plans extra exclusive neighborhoods. Changes are prorated, so you only pay for the part of the cycle you use.

Can I change my plan later?

Yes, anytime. Open the Plan and add-ons page in your dashboard to move up, move down, or add to what you have. You are only ever charged for the part of the cycle you actually use, so you are never double billed for a switch.

Is there a free trial?

There is no free trial. Instead, your first purchase is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can try the whole platform and decide with real results in hand.

What is your refund / guarantee policy?

Your first purchase is covered for 30 days. If Noli is not for you, tell us inside 30 calendar days of that first payment and we refund it, less only the cost of the AI you actually used, metered at the rates published in your account. Payment-processor fees are not deducted, and there are no questions beyond what we could have done better. Renewals, upgrades and add-ons are not covered, and the guarantee can be used once. Email support@noliai.com or ask from the Plan page in your account.

How do I cancel?

Cancel from your dashboard whenever you want. There is nothing to phone in and nobody to argue with. You keep everything through the end of the period you have already paid for.

What happens to my work if I cancel?

You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. After that we hold your workspace for thirty days so you can still export it, we email you seven days before the deadline, and then it is permanently deleted. Download a copy any time from the Plan page, or come back on a plan before the deadline and nothing is deleted.

Your AI team

Can Noli answer my phone?

Yes, with the AI Receptionist add-on. It answers in your business name when you do not pick up, says up front that it is AI, answers questions you have approved, books real openings straight into your Noli calendar, and takes a structured message when it cannot help. Every call is summarised on your Phone page and your Chief of Staff sends you the summary.

You keep your existing number. Your mobile forwards to the receptionist only on calls you do not answer, using a short code for your carrier, and you can turn that off whenever you like. Two-way texting is available too, with a preview of any reply and its sources before it sends.

What does the Chief of Staff do?

It runs your AI team for you. You give it a goal in plain English, and it breaks the goal down, puts the right specialist on each part, coordinates the work across your departments, and reports back, all without you running the tools yourself. It works around the clock, learns your business as it goes, proactively finds ways to help you hit your goals, and manages the rest of the team. It can even spin up new specialists on demand for bigger projects or niche tasks.

How many specialists are there, and can the team grow?

More than you will use on day one. Each department is staffed with its own specialists: business development (CRM), marketing, knowledge, projects, growth (the GTM Engineer), and finance. On top of that, your Chief of Staff can spin up new specialists on demand for a specific job (a researcher, a copywriter, a closer) and stand them down when the work is finished. Your team grows with the work, without you hiring or managing anyone.

What does the CRM do?

It runs your relationships and your revenue: contacts, deals, a pipeline you can actually read, your email, and the landing pages that feed it. You do not have to be the one clicking through it. Your Chief of Staff drives it for you, and so can any AI agent you connect through its native MCP integration.

What does the marketing system do?

It learns your market, builds the strategy, and then does the work week after week: blog posts, newsletters, social posts, lead magnets, landing pages and the funnels behind them. You set the schedule once.

Nothing goes out with your name on it until you say so. Everything lands in your approvals inbox first, and when you trust it on a particular kind of post you can let that one run on its own.

What does the GTM Engineer do?

It finds the people who are already showing they want what you sell, works out why now, and drafts the outreach for you to approve. You describe the customer you are after in plain language, it sources them with the evidence for each one, and it writes the first message in your voice.

It is not a list you buy and it does not contact anyone on its own. You review every recipient and every message, and your approval locks that exact batch.

Today it finds people on LinkedIn, X, Reddit and the open web. Threads is built and waiting on Meta's approval before we switch it on.

Will it send cold emails from my address without me seeing them?

No. Nothing sends until you approve the drafted campaign, and you see every recipient and every message before you do. If the draft changes after you loaded it, you are told to review again rather than your earlier approval carrying over to different messages.

It sends from a mailbox you connect, under your own address, so replies come back to you. Volume is capped daily, sends are spread out rather than going as one block, and duplicate protection stops the same person being contacted twice.

Do I have to pay extra for the GTM Engineer?

The GTM Engineer itself is included in your plan like the rest of the team. The one thing that costs anything extra is data: finding real people and verifying them means paying outside data providers. That comes out of the same monthly token pool as everything else. There is no separate balance to buy, and the Usage screen shows exactly what each run cost in tokens.

You are never surprised by it. Every research run shows you a fixed quote before it can reserve a single token, and planning a run costs nothing at all. If you turn on continuous finding, you set a hard daily dollar cap yourself, and it cannot spend past it.

What does the knowledge base do?

It ingests your documents, notes, and transcripts and makes them instantly retrievable, then acts as a thinking partner on top of them. It is also the second brain the rest of your team draws on, so your context follows you across the entire platform and your AI team always makes decisions grounded in your business, goals, and priorities.

What does the project manager do?

It turns your goals into clear, step-by-step plans and coaches you through them. In Genius mode it builds those plans using your own knowledge base, so the advice is grounded in your material. It also gives the rest of your AI team context on what needs to get done and where you want to go.

Do the products work together?

Yes. They connect out of the box (no API keys to paste, nothing to configure) and share a unified memory, and your Chief of Staff coordinates across them. From a single goal you set, it can have the project manager plan from your knowledge base, the marketing team draw on that same knowledge, and new contacts flow into your CRM.

Can an AI agent control Noli for me?

Yes. The simplest way is your Chief of Staff, which comes with your Noli membership and runs the team for you. Each department also exposes a secure endpoint (MCP), so you can connect third-party AI agents to your Noli team as well.

Which AI models does Noli use, and can I choose?

Noli picks the right model for each job, so a quick draft does not cost you what deep research does. Your Chief of Staff runs on Gemini by default. Bring your own OpenAI, Anthropic or Google key and it runs on yours instead, or point it at your existing ChatGPT plan and let OpenAI bill you directly.

Where does the GTM Engineer get its prospects, and is that legal?

From public signals: what people post, what companies announce, what jobs get advertised. It shows you the evidence for every person it finds, it never buys a scraped list, and it contacts nobody without your approval. Anyone can ask us to remove their record, and we do.

Which social accounts can Noli post to?

LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube today. Threads is coming once Meta approves our app. You connect an account once, and nothing posts until you approve it.

Can I bring my existing contacts, documents and projects in?

Yes. Import contacts into your CRM from a spreadsheet, upload or connect your documents to the knowledge base from Google Drive, Dropbox or Notion, and your Chief of Staff will help you do it on the first day.

Teams & seats

Can I add my human team?

Yes, on the Team plan. Team includes two seats and 20 million pooled AI tokens to start. You can add more seats at $79 a month each (including 10 million additional tokens per seat), invite teammates by email, and they join your shared workspace instead of starting from a blank one.

What is shared with my team, and what stays private?

Your CRM (contacts and deals) and your marketing brand are shared across the team. Project-manager projects and knowledge base documents are private to you by default, and you can share individual ones with your team whenever you want. Your Chief of Staff is personal to each member.

How many people can I add?

Solo is just you. Team starts at two people, and you can add as many extra seats as you need at $79 a month each. Each seat is a full member with their own login, their own Chief of Staff, access to the shared workspace, and another 10 million tokens added to the shared pool.

What is the difference between an admin and a member?

Admins manage the team and billing. Members use the shared workspace. The person who creates the team owns it and serves as its admin.

What happens when I remove a teammate?

Their access ends immediately. Everything they created in the shared workspace, contacts, deals, campaigns, stays with the team. Their own Chief of Staff and anything they kept private goes with them.

Your data & security

Is my data secure?

Sign-in is handled by Clerk, so we never hold your password. Each part of Noli keeps its data separately, your Chief of Staff runs in an environment of its own, and every request is checked against the workspace you belong to. You see your workspace and the people you invited to it. Nothing else.

Who can see my data?

You and the teammates you invite. Nobody at Noli reads your workspace unless you ask us to look at something. The services that run Noli underneath, sign-in, hosting, and the AI models, see only what they need to do their job, and they are named in our Privacy Policy.

How is my business data used?

To run Noli for you, and to make your results better over time. We do not sell your data and we do not train AI models on it. The Privacy Policy has the specifics.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes. Open Plan from your account menu and click Download my data for a copy of your account, plan and Chief of Staff data. To have everything deleted, email privacy@noliai.com from the address on your account with the subject 'Delete my data'. We confirm within two business days and finish within thirty days, and the deletion reaches every part of Noli, not just the front door.

Who owns the content Noli writes for me?

You do. Every post, email, plan and report Noli produces for your business is yours to use however you want, including after you leave.

Account & support

How do I get help?

Ask your Chief of Staff first. It knows your account and can usually just do the thing. If you want a person, email support@noliai.com and we answer. There are also step-by-step guides for every screen.

How do I manage my billing or update my card?

Everything to do with money lives in one place in your dashboard: your plan, your card, your invoices, and cancelling if it comes to that.

I forgot my password.

On the sign-in screen, use the password-reset link. Authentication is handled securely by Clerk, which emails you a reset link.

Can my Chief of Staff run on my own ChatGPT plan?

Yes. If you already pay for ChatGPT, you can have your Chief of Staff do its thinking on that plan, so OpenAI bills you for it instead of it drawing on your Noli tokens. Open your Chief of Staff, go to Connections, and choose Connect ChatGPT. You sign in to OpenAI once, pick which of the models your plan offers, and switch back to Noli tokens whenever you like.

Worth knowing before you switch: the work counts against your ChatGPT plan limits and shares them with your own ChatGPT and Codex use, so a heavy day can slow both down. You need a paid ChatGPT plan, and your OpenAI terms apply to that usage.

Can I use my own AI API keys?

Yes. Connect your own OpenAI, Anthropic or Google key in settings. Across the CRM, marketing, knowledge base and project manager, Noli covers the AI inside your monthly pool and your key only picks up what runs past it, at cost, with no markup and no cap.

Your Chief of Staff works differently on purpose: the moment you save a key it runs on that key, every turn, so it is never capped mid-job. Remove the key and it goes back on your Noli pool.

How fast do you answer support, and is there a phone number?

Email support@noliai.com and a person answers, usually the same working day. There is no phone queue, because the fastest answer is almost always your Chief of Staff, which already knows your account.
