Ask your customers for Google reviews

Save your Google review link once, test it, and turn on one switch that emails every customer a short, honest review request a few days after the job.

Reviews are how nearby customers decide who to trust, and most happy customers would leave one if someone asked. Email → Reviews in your marketing app does the asking for you: save your Google review link, turn on one switch, and every customer gets one short email with the link a few days after you finish working with them.

Reviews is one of the Local basics, so it shows for every business that serves a local area: a dentist, a contractor, a law firm, a shop or a real estate agent. If you do not see it, choose Local, Regional or Hybrid under Settings → Menu.

Save your Google review link

  1. Open Email → Reviews.
  2. Paste your Google review link and press Save.
  3. Press Test the link. Noli follows the link the way a customer's phone would and tells you whether it opens your Google review form. If Google no longer recognizes it, you are told to copy a fresh one.

Not sure where your link is? Press Where do I find it?:

  1. Sign in to the Google account that manages your Business Profile.
  2. Search for your business on Google (the Find my business on Google link does the search for you), or open business.google.com.
  3. Choose Read reviews, then Get more reviews, then Copy, and paste the link into Reviews.

The link looks like https://g.page/r/.../review. Your Business Profile dashboard link will not work for customers, and Noli will say so if you paste it.

Your link is saved once and shared with your CRM's Reputation page, so changing it in either place changes it everywhere.

Turn on review requests

Switch on Ask your customers for a review and pick when the email goes out:

  • A deal or job is marked won: for real estate agents, this is a closing.
  • An appointment is over: a booking on your calendar that has ended.
  • An invoice is paid.

Then set Days after. Real estate agents start with a deal won plus 14 days. Everyone else starts with an invoice paid or an appointment over, plus 3 days. Change either and press Save changes.

Press See the email to read exactly what customers get. The words fit your kind of business (a dental practice asks about a visit, a contractor about the work) and always include your saved link and an unsubscribe link.

The switch needs two things before it turns on: your Google review link, and your own email connected in Noli (your Gmail or Outlook mailbox, or your own sending domain). Requests go from your own email, never from Noli.

What Noli will and will not do

  • Everyone who qualifies gets the same email, whatever they thought of you. Google's review policy does not allow businesses to "selectively solicit positive reviews from customers", so Noli never checks first whether a customer was happy, and the email asks for an honest review, not a good one.
  • Nothing is offered in return. Google and the FTC forbid rewards for reviews.
  • One request per event, and never more than one per person every 180 days, even if the same customer closes a deal, finishes an appointment and pays an invoice in the same week.
  • Nobody who unsubscribed is emailed.

Keep score

The bottom of the page shows how many requests went out in the last 30 and 90 days. See each request opens your CRM's Reputation page, which lists every request, who it went to and when.
