Track content performance with Google Search Console

Connect Google Search Console to see rankings, impressions, clicks, and click-through rates.

Once your content is live, you will want to know how it is doing in search. Your marketing system connects to Google Search Console (GSC) to show real performance data under Content → Performance.

Connect Google Search Console

  1. Open the Performance page.
  2. Choose Connect Google Account and authorize access.
  3. If your Google account has more than one Search Console site, pick the one you want to track.

GSC is a free Google tool. If you do not have it set up yet, the in-app guide walks you through verifying your site and submitting a sitemap.

What you can see

After connecting, Performance shows how your pages perform in Google search, including:

  • Keyword rankings, where you rank for the queries that matter.
  • Impressions, how often you appear in results.
  • Clicks and click-through rate (CTR), how often people choose your result.

Keep in mind

A newly verified site can take a couple of days before Google starts collecting data. Once data is flowing, use these numbers to decide what to write next and which existing posts to improve.
