Send this month's newsletter

One click drafts a newsletter from this month's articles, local events and your news. You approve it before it goes out from your own email.

Once a month, send the people who signed up to hear from you a short note about what happened. Noli writes it for you, and nothing goes out until you approve it. Find it under Email → Newsletter.

Draft it in one click

Press Draft this month's newsletter. If something is new at your business this month, such as a new team member, an award or an event you are hosting, type it in the box first. The box is optional.

Noli writes the newsletter in your voice from this month's material:

  • the articles you published in the last month that have a live link,
  • your latest approved market report (real estate),
  • local events in the next six weeks that you approved under Content → Local → Events,
  • verified facts under Content → Local → Facts,
  • your own news, and for real estate the number of homes you closed in the last month (never an address, a client's name or a price).

It uses only that material: every date, figure and link comes from it. Your writing instructions and brand voice from the Style page apply. Writing takes a minute or two, and you can leave the page while it works.

Review it

The draft shows exactly what goes out: the subject, the email (shown with a sample first name), and the footer with your business mailing address and the unsubscribe link. It also shows:

  • Who gets it. People who agreed to hear from you when they signed up on one of your pages, and people who signed up on a newsletter page. For real estate, also your past clients and your farm list, the same lists your market report goes to. Anyone who unsubscribed, bounced or marked your email as spam is left out, and each person gets it once.
  • The checks. Every figure must come from this month's material, and a sentence with a number that does not is listed. For real estate, the Fair Housing check flags wording about who a place suits.
  • The subject test. The two subject lines that will be tested. See Email results.

Press Edit the email to change it, Draft it again to start over, or Discard to skip this month.

The draft also waits in your Inbox, with everything else that needs your OK. Send it there does the same as approving it here, with the same checks. The Inbox's switch for approving email sequences on their own never sends a newsletter; only the newsletter's own switch below does.

Approve it

Press Approve and send. Only an owner or admin can. It goes out from your own email: the Gmail or Outlook you connected in Noli, or your own sending domain. It never goes out from a Noli address. A connected mailbox sends it gradually, under its daily limit (100 emails a day for a personal Gmail or Outlook, 300 for a work account), so a long list can take a few days.

It cannot be approved while the Fair Housing check flags it: edit the email, then approve, and it is checked again. If a sentence states a figure that is not in this month's material, you are asked to fix it or send it anyway.

Every month, on its own

Below the draft are two switches:

  • Draft it for me on the 1st of each month. The newsletter is written on the 1st and waits for your OK, here and in the Inbox.
  • Send it without asking me. Off unless you turn it on, and only with the monthly draft on. Even then, it only goes out on its own when every check passes, your email is connected and your mailing address is saved. Anything flagged waits for you.
