Connecting your team
Connect Grok to Noli
Add Noli to Grok as a custom connector at grok.com, sign in once, and ask Grok about your customers, pipeline, projects and notes. Also covers Grok Business and the xAI API.
This guide is for anyone who uses Grok at grok.com. You add Noli once as a custom connector, sign in once, and Grok can then look things up in your business and get work done in it.
If you use Grok Build in a terminal, follow Connect developer tools to Noli instead.
Which plans can do this
xAI says custom connectors are available to all Grok users. On Grok Business and Enterprise, an admin adds Noli first, then each person connects their own Noli account. Steps for both are below.
Before you start
You need your Noli connection address. In Noli, open the account menu in the top right and choose AI assistants, then click Copy next to the address. It is always:
https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp
Connect it
Do this at grok.com. xAI moves these menus around, so the names on yours may differ slightly.
- Go to grok.com/connectors.
- Click New Connector, then Custom.
- Paste your connection address.
- Complete the sign-in. A Noli sign-in window opens. Sign in with the account you use for Noli and approve the connection. You do not need a key.
Grok Business and Enterprise
If you are the admin (you need the Team Read-Write permission):
- In the Grok Business console, open Connectors.
- Click + Add Connector, then Other.
- Paste the connection address and complete the sign-in.
Adding it here does not give anyone access to your Noli account. Each person still signs in with their own.
If you are a member: go to grok.com/connectors, find Noli, and connect it with your own Noli sign-in.
What to try first
Start a new chat and try:
- "Check my Noli capabilities." Grok should list the parts of Noli it can reach.
- "Who are my five most recent contacts in Noli?"
- "Create a project in Noli called Connection test, then delete it." The project appears straight away. The delete does not: Grok should tell you it is waiting for your approval, and you will find it under Needs you in your Command Center. Approve it there to finish the test.
Keep Grok to one area
To let Grok see only part of Noli, add ?products= to the address before you paste it, for example https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp?products=crm. The names you can use are in Use Noli from your AI assistant.
If something does not work
- The sign-in window does not open. Allow pop-ups for grok.com and try again.
- "Connection refused", or Grok cannot add the connector. Check the address, especially anything after
?products=. A misspelled product name makes Noli refuse the connection on purpose. - No Noli tools show up. Start a new chat, then ask Grok to check your Noli capabilities.
- You cannot see Custom. On a Business or Enterprise plan, your admin may need to add Noli first.
Disconnect
Open grok.com/connectors, find Noli, and disconnect or remove it. On Business and Enterprise, an admin can remove it for everyone in the console with Remove.
Disconnecting stops Grok from reaching Noli. Your Noli account and everything in it stay exactly as they are.
For developers: the xAI API
If you build on the xAI API, you can hand Grok your Noli connection inside an API request with the remote MCP tool. Generate a key on your Noli AI assistants page under For developers, then add a tool like this to your Responses API request:
{
"type": "mcp",
"server_url": "https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp",
"server_label": "noli",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY" }
}
Keep the key on your server, never in code that runs in a browser. The approval rules are the same: anything that needs you still waits under Needs you.
