Connecting your team

Connect developer tools to Noli

Connect Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code with GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, Antigravity, Windsurf, Zed, Junie and Grok Build to Noli with one key.

This guide is for people who work in a terminal or a code editor. The tools below all connect to the same Noli address, using a key you create in Noli. One key works in every tool.

If you use a chat app instead, pick it from Use Noli from your AI assistant.

Get your key

  1. In Noli, open the account menu in the top right and choose AI assistants.
  2. Open For developers and click Generate a key.
  3. Copy it straight away. We show a key once and cannot show it again.

In every example below, replace YOUR_KEY with that key. Treat it like a password: anyone who has it can use your Noli account through an assistant. Do not commit it to a shared repository. Where a tool can read the key from an environment variable, that is the safer choice.

Your connection address is always:

https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp

Many of these tools can also sign in through your browser instead of using a key. Leave the key out and the tool will offer a sign-in. The key is the simplest route, and it works in all of them.

These tools change quickly. The commands and settings below match each tool's own documentation as of October 2026.

Claude Code

Run this once in your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http noli https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY" --scope user

--scope user makes Noli available in every project. Leave it out to add Noli to the current project only. Type /mcp inside Claude Code to check that Noli shows as connected.

To remove it: claude mcp remove noli

If you also use Claude on the web, a Noli connector you added there can show up in Claude Code by itself when you are signed in with the same Claude account. See Connect Claude to Noli.

Codex (CLI, IDE extension and the desktop app)

Codex, its IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share one settings file, so you only set this up once.

  1. Put your key in an environment variable. Add this line to your shell profile (for example ~/.zshrc), then open a new terminal:
export NOLI_API_KEY="YOUR_KEY"
  1. Add Noli:
codex mcp add noli --url https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp --bearer-token-env-var NOLI_API_KEY

Or, if you prefer to edit the file yourself, add this to ~/.codex/config.toml:

[mcp_servers.noli]
url = "https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp"
bearer_token_env_var = "NOLI_API_KEY"

Type /mcp inside Codex to check that Noli is connected. In the IDE extension or the desktop app, restart it after changing the file.

To remove it: codex mcp remove noli

Cursor

Open ~/.cursor/mcp.json (create it if it does not exist) and add:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "noli": {
      "url": "https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY" }
    }
  }
}

Use .cursor/mcp.json inside a project instead to add it to that project only. Save the file and restart Cursor. Noli then appears under Customize, then MCPs, where a switch turns it on and off.

To remove it, delete the noli entry from the file.

VS Code with GitHub Copilot

  1. Open the Command Palette and run MCP: Add Server.
  2. Choose HTTP, paste the connection address, and name it noli.
  3. Choose where to save it.

To use a key, open the mcp.json file VS Code created and make the Noli entry look like this. VS Code asks for the key the first time and stores it securely, so it is never written into the file:

{
  "inputs": [
    { "type": "promptString", "id": "noli-key", "description": "Noli key", "password": true }
  ],
  "servers": {
    "noli": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${input:noli-key}" }
    }
  }
}

If you leave the header out, VS Code offers to sign in to Noli in your browser instead.

On Copilot Business and Copilot Enterprise, the MCP servers in Copilot policy is off by default. An organization admin turns it on under the organization's Settings, then Copilot, then Policies. Copilot Free and Pro need nothing extra.

To start, stop or remove it, run MCP: List Servers, choose Noli, and pick the action.

GitHub Copilot CLI:

copilot mcp add --transport http --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY" noli https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp

To remove it: copilot mcp remove noli

Gemini CLI and Gemini Code Assist

Run:

gemini mcp add --transport http noli https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY" --scope user

Or add this to ~/.gemini/settings.json. Use httpUrl, not url, because url means an older kind of connection:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "noli": {
      "httpUrl": "https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY" }
    }
  }
}

Run gemini mcp list to check that Noli shows as connected. Gemini Code Assist in VS Code reads the same file. Run Developer: Reload Window after you change it.

To remove it: gemini mcp remove noli

Google replaced Gemini CLI with Antigravity CLI for free and Google One accounts in June 2026. If that is you, use the Antigravity steps below.

Antigravity

Add this to ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json. Antigravity uses serverUrl:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "noli": {
      "serverUrl": "https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY" }
    }
  }
}

You can see it under Settings, then Customizations, then Installed MCP Servers, and remove it there with the trash icon.

Windsurf (now Devin Desktop)

Windsurf was renamed Devin Desktop in June 2026. In the agent panel, open the ... menu at the top right and choose Open MCP config file, then add:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "noli": {
      "serverUrl": "https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY" }
    }
  }
}

Each server has its own switch in the same panel. To remove Noli, delete its entry from the file. If your team admin has limited which servers are allowed, ask them to add noli.

Zed

Open your Zed settings file and add:

{
  "context_servers": {
    "noli": {
      "url": "https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY" }
    }
  }
}

You can also add it from Settings, then AI, then MCP Servers, then Add Server, then Add Remote Server.

JetBrains Junie

Junie reads ~/.junie/mcp/mcp.json, shared by the IDE plugin and the CLI. Add a noli entry with the same url and headers as the Cursor example above. Type /mcp in Junie to check it, edit it or delete it.

Grok Build

grok mcp add --transport http noli https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"

Run grok mcp list to check it. To remove it: grok mcp remove noli

Keep a tool to one area

Add ?products= to the address in any of the examples above to limit what that tool can see, for example https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp?products=pm,kb for a coding assistant that only needs your projects and notes. The names are crm, kb, pm, ams and cos, in lowercase with no spaces.

What to try first

Open a new session and ask:

  1. "Check my Noli capabilities." It should list the parts of Noli it can reach.
  2. "List my open projects in Noli."
  3. "Create a project in Noli called Connection test, then delete it." The project appears straight away. The delete does not: it waits under Needs you in your Command Center until you approve it there. A key gives no shortcut around your approvals.

If something does not work

  • 401 or "unauthorized". The key is wrong or has been replaced. Check that the header reads Bearer (with the space) followed by the key, or generate a new key.
  • "Connection refused" or no tools at all. Check the address, especially anything after ?products=. A misspelled product name makes Noli refuse the connection on purpose. Remove the ?products= part to test.
  • The tool shows Noli but no tools load. Restart the tool or open a new session. Most tools only read their settings when they start.
  • A browser sign-in opens when you expected the key to be used. The tool did not pick up the header. Check the setting names for your tool above, such as httpUrl for Gemini CLI and serverUrl for Antigravity.
  • A browser sign-in does not complete over SSH. Browser sign-in needs a browser on the same machine. Use the key instead.

Disconnect

Remove Noli from each tool with the remove command or by deleting its entry, as shown above. To switch off the key everywhere at once, click Disconnect on your Noli AI assistants page. Generating a new key also switches the old one off straight away, so update every tool you had pasted it into.
