Connect your WordPress site

Install the Noli plugin, paste the site URL and API key it gives you, and test the connection so approved articles publish themselves.

Noli publishes to WordPress through its own plugin. You do not need an Application Password, an FTP login, or any edits to your host. The whole connection takes about five minutes.

What you need

  • Admin access to your WordPress site (the ability to install plugins).
  • Your Noli marketing workspace open at ams.noliai.com → Settings → Publishing.

If your site is on WordPress.com, plugins are only available on the Business plan or higher. If you cannot install plugins, use the Custom API option instead, or ask us at support@noliai.com.

Step 1: Download the plugin

  1. Open Settings → Publishing in your marketing workspace.
  2. Under Blog platform, choose WordPress.
  3. Click Download noli-ams.zip. One small file downloads.

Step 2: Install it on your site

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  2. Upload the zip you just downloaded and click Install Now.
  3. Click Activate.

Step 3: Copy the site URL and API key

  1. In WordPress, open Settings → Noli AMS.
  2. The page shows a Site URL and an API Key. The key is created by your site, not by Noli, and you can regenerate it there at any time.
  3. Copy both values.

Step 4: Paste them into Noli and test

  1. Back in Settings → Publishing, paste the Site URL and API Key into the WordPress fields.
  2. Optionally set a Category. Articles publish under it. Leave it blank and Noli matches an existing category by topic or creates one.
  3. Click Test Connection. A green check means Noli can publish. A red message tells you what to fix, usually a typo in the URL or a key that was regenerated on the WordPress side.
  4. Click Save.

Step 5: Decide how articles go out

With the connection saved, each approved article shows a Publish button on its card. Turn on Auto-publish to send approved articles automatically. With auto-publish on you can also let Noli generate a hero image for each article as it goes out.

If something goes wrong

  • "Connection failed": check the Site URL matches exactly what the plugin page shows (including https), and that the plugin is still active.
  • The key changed: regenerate it in Settings → Noli AMS on your site, then paste the new key into Noli and test again.
  • Articles publish as drafts: the plugin publishes with the status your Noli workspace sends. Check the auto-publish setting and the article's approval state.
  • Your site uses a security plugin that blocks REST requests: allow requests from Noli's plugin endpoint, or ask support@noliai.com and we will send the exact rule.
