Connecting your team

Connect Perplexity to Noli

Add Noli to Perplexity as a custom remote connector, sign in once, and ask Perplexity about your customers, pipeline, projects and notes.

This guide is for anyone who uses Perplexity at perplexity.ai. You add Noli once as a custom connector, sign in once, and Perplexity can then look things up in your business and get work done in it.

Which plans can do this

Perplexity allows custom remote connectors on Pro, Max, and the Enterprise plans. Free accounts cannot add them.

On Enterprise, members can only add custom connectors if an admin allows it. The admin setting is under Enterprise settings, then Permissions, then Connectors permissions, and it is off by default. Admins can also add Noli there for everyone with + Custom connector.

Before you start

You need your Noli connection address. In Noli, open the account menu in the top right and choose AI assistants, then click Copy next to the address. It is always:

https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp

Connect it

Perplexity moves these menus around, so the names on yours may differ slightly.

  1. Open Plugins in the left sidebar. If you do not see it, open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Click Add custom, then Connector, then Add MCP connector, and choose Remote.
  3. Fill in:
    • Name: Noli
    • MCP Server URL: your connection address
    • Authentication: OAuth
    • Transport: Streamable HTTP
  4. Tick the box that says you understand the risks, then click Add.
  5. Click the Noli card to connect it. A Noli sign-in window opens. Sign in with the account you use for Noli and approve the connection.

You do not need a key, and you can leave the client ID and secret empty. Perplexity finds Noli's sign-in on its own.

What to try first

Start a new search and try:

  1. "Check my Noli capabilities." Perplexity should list the parts of Noli it can reach.
  2. "Who are my five most recent contacts in Noli?"
  3. "Create a project in Noli called Connection test, then delete it." The project appears straight away. The delete does not: Perplexity should tell you it is waiting for your approval, and you will find it under Needs you in your Command Center. Approve it there to finish the test.

Keep Perplexity to one area

To let Perplexity see only part of Noli, add ?products= to the address before you paste it, for example https://app.noliai.com/api/agent/mcp?products=crm. The names you can use are in Use Noli from your AI assistant.

If something does not work

  • The sign-in window does not open. Allow pop-ups for perplexity.ai and try again.
  • "Connection refused", or the connector will not add. Check the address, especially anything after ?products=. A misspelled product name makes Noli refuse the connection on purpose.
  • No Noli tools show up, or new ones are missing. Disconnect the Noli connector and connect it again. That makes Perplexity reload the tool list. Then ask it to check your Noli capabilities.
  • You cannot see Add custom. Check your plan, or on Enterprise ask your admin to allow custom connectors.

Disconnect

Open Plugins, then Installed (or Customize, then Connectors), open the ⋮ menu on the Noli card, and choose Disconnect.

Disconnecting stops Perplexity from reaching Noli. Your Noli account and everything in it stay exactly as they are.
