Act on an AI Visibility gap

Turn a question the engines answer without naming you into a brief, an article, and a page they cite.

A gap is a question the engines answer happily and never name you in. It is the most useful row on the page, because it tells you exactly what to write.

Find the gaps

In The questions we ask, each active question carries a chip per engine after a scan has run. Red means the answers did not include you, blue means you were named, green means a page of yours was cited.

A question that has answers and no mentions shows a Turn into a brief button. That button is the gap.

Open the question first. It expands to show every stored answer, which engine gave it, whether it named or cited you, and the sources it was built from. Read two or three before you act. The answers say what a good page has to contain.

Turn the gap into a brief

Press Turn into a brief. It writes a brief from the real answers, including who was named instead and which sources the answers were built on, then sends it into the normal content pipeline: research, then a draft, then your review queue. The confirmation says so.

Nothing publishes on its own unless you have chosen otherwise. The draft waits in the review queue like any other piece, marked so you can see it came from AI Visibility.

The best-in-city page

Brief the best-in-city page at the top of the page writes a different brief: the single page an assistant reaches for when someone asks who the best businesses in your category and city are. It is built from this week's answers, it names the two or three real alternatives honestly, and for local businesses it includes the review-response steps the engines weigh.

It is worth doing once, early, and then again when the competitive picture changes.

Where AI gets its answers

The Where AI gets its answers card is the second way to close a gap, and often the faster one. If the answers about your category are built from Zillow, a local directory or a Google Business Profile, being on that source is worth more than another article. Several sources have a How to get on fold-out with the steps and a link straight to the right page.

Ghost citations

Ghost citations lists pages on your own domain that the engines cite but that do not exist or never mention you. Each one is a page the engines already want to send people to. Creating or fixing it is the cheapest win on the whole page.

A page that could not be checked, because the site blocked the request or timed out, is never counted as a ghost.

Answers that get your facts wrong

When an answer states something about you that contradicts what you have on file, it appears under Answers that get your facts wrong, with the engine and the question. Fix the source the engines read, which is usually your own site, your Google Business Profile or a directory listing, and the next scan shows whether it stuck.

Watch it pay off

Pages of yours the engines cite lists every page of yours an engine has used, how many answers, how many weeks, and when it was first seen. A page that came out of a Noli brief carries a published by Noli chip, so you can see a brief turn into citations.

Publishing without review

The Publish AI Visibility articles without review switch in What we look for lets an article that started as an AI Visibility brief publish as soon as the fact checks pass, even when your general automation still asks for review. Start with it off. Switch it on once you have read a few and trust them.
